Senior Walk

Yes, today Kirstin had her Senior Walk, a tradition unique to Stoney Creek. The hour (ok, not quite) we waited was worth it for the photo ops afterwards and here is one of my favorites. Isn't she gorgeous?! I can hardly believe my little sister is about to graduate from high school- much less begin her very own Taylor career this fall.

Mom, KK, and I went out to lunch together to celebrate KK's last day of high school (except that she's taking an AP exam tomorrow) and then ran a few errands. Once home mom was busy cleaning and such so I got to make dinner tonight! :) Naturally, it was simple. Easy clean-up too, with a one-dish meal (not counting the asparagus). I could use the excuse that I had to appease the family and make something everyone would eat, but let's face it. We had the ingredients for this one and it was a quick fix...

While that was in the oven KK and I studied stats for a bit together. Kirstin proclaimed that I looked too much like a teacher and made me promise to never put my pencil (or any writing utensil for that matter) behind my ear. I promised. But she never said anything about sticking it in my hair...

Now that the washer has been running nearly continuously for two days, I think all of my linens and running clothes are finally clean. My sheets, towels, and shower curtain are already packed and ready to go. Gosh, I'm so ahead of the game. I was joking with mom that I'm really just putting myself in a nice position for a late hire. Come August I could literally get a call one day and be ready to move out the next. It's nice being prepared, but I sure hope I have more of a notice than that.

And, the last note for the evening... I recieved an e-mail from Deal today which was actually a forwarded e-mail from her sister, a fellow TU alum. It's been decided. The math majors like Mr. Garringer, our campus photographer. Apparently someone also likes the math majors. "It may not be the Taylor Magazine, but a mass alumni e-mail is pretty close." Thanks, Deal. Check it out! :D
